This beautiful pole was carved by Chief Johnny Klakwatsi of Salmon River. It belonged to Chief Billy Assu who gifted it to the Quocksister Family of Campbell River on the occassion of his daughter Susan's marriage. It was sold to the Calgary Zoo in the early 1900's and was repatriated to Nuyumbalees in 1983.
